We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Guildford, starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Key Stage 2 and enjoys delivering engaging lessons that challenge and inspire pupils academically, socially, and emotionally.

As a Year 4 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will help pupils develop independence, resilience, and confidence while fostering a love of learning. Collaboration with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents is central to ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 4 curriculum
* Deliver engaging literacy, numeracy, and foundation subject lessons
* Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL
* Promote independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours
* Maintain a structured, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
* Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment and attainment records
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
* Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives
* Support school events, enrichment activities, and extra-curricular opportunities
* Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Have experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
* Be reflective, adaptable, and proactive
* Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing
* Work collaboratively as part of a professional, supportive team
