About The Role
Are you passionate about education and ready to make a lasting impact? Join ARU’s Schools and Colleges Engagement team within the Corporate Marketing Directorate, as we deliver our local undergraduate student recruitment strategy across the East of England.
We’re recruiting for one field-based officer to cover Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. You’ll work face-to-face in your region and at all ARU campuses to nurture and develop relationships with a portfolio of target schools, colleges and sixth forms. You’ll deliver engaging, high-quality events such as taster days, workshops and presentations — helping prospective students explore their future at ARU and beyond.
With a degree, part-qualified professional qualification, or equivalent experience, you’ll bring a passionate, proactive and creative approach. You’ll be highly organised, confident working independently, and feel comfortable managing logistics, using data to demonstrate impact, and working to budgets.
Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to develop, build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. This is a fast-paced, dynamic role with regular travel across your region and occasional evening and weekend work. All work-related travel will be reimbursed in line with ARU’s expenses policy.

We have an agile working culture and offer an extensive range of benefits including generous holiday entitlement, occupational pension schemes, training and development opportunities, travel to work scheme and a competitive relocation package.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our staff and students and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
