Are you an Electrical Engineer with experience within the power distribution sector? If so Futures Manufacturing are working with a leading business in the West Yorkshire region. This is a hands-on role that blends shop-floor assembly with technical problem-solving, ensuring high-quality, safe, and reliable electrical products. You will be primarily responsible for panel wiring, electrical testing, and light mechanical fitting across a range of low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems. This role is ideally suited to an engineer with a strong background in electrical assembly and testing, who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering work of the highest standards. The role: Wire, assemble, and install electrical panels in line with engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications. Perform electrical testing, inspection, and fault diagnosis on control panels and power distribution systems to ensure compliance and functionality. Carry out mechanical fitting tasks, including mounting of components, busbar assembly, and enclosure preparation. Maintain compliance with industry regulations, health & safety standards, and internal quality procedures. Document test results, wiring changes, and modifications accurately for traceability. Work collaboratively with design engineers and production teams to resolve technical issues quickly and effectively. Contribute to continuous improvement projects, driving efficiency and quality in both wiring and testing processes. Provide occasional support for product installation, commissioning, or after-sales service if required. Skills & Qualifications: Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, or significant relevant hands-on experience. Proven experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly, and testing within a manufacturing, engineering, or power distribution environment. Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, power distribution systems, and control panel construction.
