Cyber Security Engineer
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will work on complex Thales systems, providing specialist security architecture, technical guidance, and ensuring the development of reliable, secure, and compliant security solutions tailored to project needs. Your role involves advising on security architecture, contributing to design, studying alternatives, and conducting risk assessments.
You will join a team of Engineers and Architects to deliver security solutions that meet customer requirements.
Key responsibilities:
1. Identify and analyze threats, vulnerabilities, and security consequences, maintaining traceability to requirements.
2. Ensure security requirements are documented and tracked throughout development.
3. Maintain logs and traceability of security controls and assurance evidence.
4. Gather and configure evidence for the Security Case.
5. Justify security control choices.
6. Create reports and artifacts supporting the security case.
7. Review observations and reports to define corrective actions.
8. Coordinate technically across multidisciplinary teams.
We are looking for:
1. Experience as a Cyber Security Engineer in Defence, Nuclear, Government, Aerospace, CNI, or Transport sectors.
2. Experience defining system security controls independently or with specialists.
3. Proficiency in Infrastructure Security Design, including Network Security, Cryptography, Identity & Access Management, End-point protection, cloud technologies, and protective monitoring.
4. Confidence in advising and supporting team members.
5. Proficiency with Risk Assessment tools and methodologies across various sectors.
6. Deep knowledge of industry frameworks like NIST, NIS-2, JSPs, MITRE.
7. Experience implementing Secure by Design principles.
Desirable:
1. Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or relevant certifications (CISSP, Cisco, CCP, etc.).
2. Experience in Risk Management, Accreditation, Systems Design Lifecycles, and Embedded Systems Design.
