PAYE Inc Rate
£35.40 – 39.75ph
Contract Length
3 months with potential for extension
Key Responsibilities
* Healthcare Advice: consent, capacity, data protection, Mental Health Act, regulatory issues, adult and children’s services.
* Manage High Court applications in‑house for significant savings.
* Disclosure Requests: support police and local authorities in childcare and criminal proceedings; handle complex childcare matters at the South West regional centre for children.
* Claims Management: manage clinical negligence & third‑party claims under NHSR schemes; work closely with clinicians to robustly defend Trust interests.
* Inquests: support and represent staff at Coroner’s Court; liaise with local coroners on a substantial inquest portfolio.
Key Requirements
* A qualified solicitor (in England and Wales) with significant experience in health‑care law and a current practising certificate.
* Ideally experience working for an NHS Trust in‑house legal team previously.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
