The Role We are recruiting for an Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior to join a growing and dynamic team. This is a varied role offering a mix of audit and accounts work, with the chance to develop skills, supervise junior staff, and work closely with both clients and senior management.
Key Responsibilities Assist with statutory audits, from planning to completion.
Conduct fieldwork on-site and remotely, liaising directly with clients.
Ensure compliance with auditing standards and internal procedures.
Highlight audit findings, technical issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Prepare statutory financial statements under UK GAAP.
Produce management accounts and VAT returns.
Prepare and review corporate tax computations.
Support bookkeeping and general accounting functions.
Support, supervise, and coach trainees and junior staff.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.
Act as a key point of contact during assignments.
Build strong client relationships through excellent service delivery.
Identify opportunities to add value and refer them to senior management.
The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be:
Part-qualified ACA or ACCA with 2+ years experience in audit and accounts within a practice
Knowledgeable in UK accounting and auditing standards
Proficient with accounting software (experience with CCH, ProAudit, Sage, Xero an advantage)
Highly organised, able to manage multiple assignments effectively
A confident communicator who can work well with both clients and colleagues
Ambitious, motivated, and enthusiastic about developing their career within a progressive practice
