Main Accountabilities:
1. Site planning: Plans on-site project activities related to the assigned discipline with Site Manager or Site Construction Manager, including necessary local resources, equipment, and milestones. Coordinates agreements between customer and external resources on installation/construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization, and policy.
2. Site coordination and monitoring: Responsible, from receiving the assigned site area from the customer or Project Manager to handover, for coordinating all on-site activities related to the assigned discipline to ensure successful execution of start-up, installation/construction, erection, testing, and commissioning activities in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
3. Stakeholder relations: Serves as a project representative by building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and other local organizations.
4. Health, safety, and environment (HSE) and project security: Ensures a detailed and up-to-date construction H&S plan is in place for each work package, compliant with company policies. Promotes health and safety considerations throughout the project, and has the authority to suspend activities in case of violations. Ensures proper handling, storage, and installation of equipment, coordinating logistics for timely delivery.
5. Sub-contractors: Manages on-site sub-contractors hired by ABB to ensure quality and progress meet standards and delivery schedules.
6. Site cost management: Controls project costs for site work, monitors actual spend versus forecasts, and estimates final costs. Manages petty cash and local purchasing within delegated authority.
7. Documentation: Ensures all documentation is updated and maintained, with latest revisions used for construction work.
8. People leadership and development: Ensures the area is properly organized, staffed, and skilled. Guides, motivates, and develops team members, and manages local logistics such as accommodation and site facilities.
Summary: Supervises a team responsible for executing tasks in an assigned area, ensuring proper work coordination and performance reviews. Candidates should have several years of experience as a Site Supervisor, with strong knowledge in Site Management, HSE, Environment, Quality Assurance & Control, Installation Works, and basic understanding of Commissioning and Civil Works.
