Due to rapid, continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, Medical Secretary to join our GP practice in Brook Medical Centre. There is also the opportunity to support our 2 other surgeries in Northamptonshire. Our surgeries continually strives to improve work processes that deliver health care with improved results for all our patients.
Day in the life of a Medical Secretary
* Raising e-referrals and bookings, routine and urgent referrals
* Chasing referrals and answering patient queries via phone
* Running reports inline with CQC audits
* Support the admin team with some clinical coding to ensure records remain accurate
Experience and skills in the following areas are essential:
* S1 Experience
* Must have previous experience of Medical Secretary, including knowledge of choose and book, routine and urgent referrals and medical notes.
* High attention to detail
* Flexible
* The post holder must have good inter-personal and organisational skills, be able to manage and prioritise a heavy workload and be able to work under pressure, both on their own and as part of a team.
* Computer skills are essential
* Excellent telephone manner
* Good knowledge and understanding of confidentiality
* Use own initiative
