and main responsibilities
1.To work within the Early Pregnancy Unit /Emergency Gynaecology Unit delivering high quality care and support to women
2. To be responsible for all aspects of patient care including the assessment, planning delivery and evaluation of direct patient care with supervision from senior staff. Telephone consultation and triage.
3. To be competent venepuncture and cannulation
4. To support the Nurses to monitor the safety and quality of care of patients.
5. To manage a group of patients and assign and delegate tasks and responsibility as appropriate.
6. To ensure the compliance of mandatory training and appraisal requirement for delegated Healthcare Assistants.
7. To ensure a positive focussed service incorporating patients’ feedback to maintain and improve patient care.
8. To act as an effective role model promoting excellence through practice.

Qualification and knowledge
Essential criteria
1. Full NMC Registration
2. Minimum 6 months NHS experience, preferably within Gynaecology.
Desirable criteria
3. Experience in women's health and or early pregnancy
Skills and communication
Essential criteria
4. Venepuncture and cannulation
5. Good command of spoken and written English
Desirable criteria
6. Interested in continuing development.
