We’re looking for a Garden Centre Supervisor to play a key role across our Garden Centre and Hearty’s Food Hall. This is a hands‑on, people‑focused role where no two days are the same and flexibility is key.
Responsibilities
* Supporting and motivating teams day‑to‑day, providing clear direction and feedback
* Creating eye‑catching, shoppable displays and maintaining excellent merchandising standards
* Ensuring shelves and counters are well stocked, rotated correctly and presented beautifully
* Managing stock control, ordering, deliveries and reducing waste
* Supporting staffing, rotas, and on‑the‑job training
* Coaching team members to help them perform at their best
* Planning ahead for seasonal changes, promotions and events
* Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across all areas
* Making sure all food safety, allergen procedures, health & safety and legal requirements are followed at all times
Qualifications
* Enjoys leading and developing people
* Communicates clearly and positively
* Has great attention to detail and takes pride in high standards
* Is organised, proactive and happy to juggle priorities
* Is flexible and happy to work across departments as business needs change
Previous supervisory or team‑leading experience in retail, garden centres, food halls or hospitality would be ideal, but your attitude and approach are just as important.
Work Pattern
Week 1 (37 hours)
Monday 9‑5, Tuesday 9‑5, Friday 9‑5, Saturday 9‑5:30, Sunday 9:30‑4:30
Week 2 (30 hours)
Pay
Rate of pay: £13.54 – £14.02 per hour
