Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 19:00 | Saturday 08:00 - 16:00 | Sunday 09:30 - 14:30
Location
Head Office in Leamington Spa (3 days on site, 2 days from home once training completed).
Key Responsibilities
 * Lead the daily operations of the BIC, ensuring all patient contacts are managed efficiently and to the highest standard.
 * Provide visible leadership, supporting and developing Team Managers to deliver safe, consistent, and patient‑focused services.
 * Monitor and report on service performance, addressing areas for improvement and maintaining compliance with regulatory and organisational standards.
 * Oversee staff recruitment, training, and development, fostering a positive, high‑performing team culture.
 * Work collaboratively with clinical, safeguarding, and risk teams to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
 * Manage departmental budgets and resources efficiently, ensuring best value and optimal staffing levels.
 * Drive service improvement initiatives, supporting the Head of Operations with planning and delivery of future developments.
About You
You will bring experience managing operational teams in healthcare or patient‑focused urgent care services, balancing performance, people management, and compliance. Calm under pressure, you'll lead by example, motivate teams, foster collaboration, and ensure excellent patient experiences in time‑critical settings.
Required Skills & Experience
 * Strong leadership and team management experience in healthcare services.
 * Proven ability to coach and develop staff.
 * A solid understanding of healthcare regulations, quality standards, and patient safety frameworks.
 * Proven ability to manage performance, resources, and budgets effectively.
 * Flexibility to support a 7‑day operational service.
Person Specification
Qualifications
 * A Level standard of education or NVQ3 or equivalent.
 * HND or Degree.
 * DMS or other post‑graduate management qualification.
Knowledge and Skills
 * Approach to planning and allocating resources in a patient‑focused setting.
 * Keeping up to date with healthcare regulations and patient safety standards.
 * Use of performance monitoring to identify areas for improvement and deliver measurable change.
Experience
 * Steps taken to ensure efficiency and maintain high‑quality outcomes in a patient‑focused service.
 * Response to performance dips or complaints revealing a weakness and lessons learned.
 * Leading a multidisciplinary team and representing the department in internal and external forums.
General
 * Support a woman's right to choose abortion.
 * Travel to Leamington Spa should you need to.
 * Commitment to a flexible 36‑hour week; occasional weekend work may be required.
