Job Overview
This position is based within our Community Therapy team in East Lothian, focusing on enhancing our current Unscheduled Care pathways (D2A and POA) throughout the week, including weekend therapy cover.
Working Hours
Hours will be scheduled using a rota pattern across 7 days, with no more than 5 days worked within a 7-day period.

Working Hours Update
From 1 April 2024, NHS Scotland will reduce the full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours without pay change. This will be applied pro-rata for part-time staff. Some service areas may require up to an additional 30 minutes per week temporarily, paid accordingly, until rosters are adjusted.

Role Responsibilities
* Provide independent specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, referral, and discharge for a complex patient caseload.
* Supervise physiotherapists, assistant practitioners, support workers, and students.
* Deputise for the team lead in relevant meetings.
* Develop and deliver training for professionals and carers to enhance understanding of therapy processes and interventions.
Additional Requirements
This role requires PVG Scheme membership/record. If not current, an application to Disclosure Scotland is necessary before employment.
This position may be part-time; salary will be pro-rata.
