Job Description
Duties will be varied, overseeing the breadth of work undertaken by the school office as needs demand, and include:
* To manage the administrative functions of the school
* To be responsible for the systems and general management of the school's administrative and financial computer network
* To provide for the preparation and production of all school records and publications.
* Supervise, train, and develop administrative staff as appropriate.
* Organise the administration of school trips, events, and visitors.
* Undertake all reception duties
* Undertake pupil and staff first aid/welfare duties including liaising with parents/staff in accordance with school procedure.

Base: Christ Church CE Primary, Church Rd, Walshaw BL8 3AX
Grade: 8 £ £30060 (actual salary £23,369 with pay award pending)

* Proven experience working in a varied, fast paced role, working within a busy operational team.
* Experience of providing exceptional administrative and strategic support.
* A proactive attitude to all tasks, demonstrating initiative and meticulous attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, being able to support a variety of stakeholders in person, online and through production of high-quality documentation.

Desired Criteria
Relevant qualifications in office administration e.g. secretarial or Business Studies
Experience of a management role in an office environment
Experience of working in a school or college environment
Experience of working with a (school) management information system
Experience of dealing with both young people and adults
Ability to provide first aid to pupils and staff with the necessary training.
Conversant with relevant educational issues and developments

Essential Criteria
Minimum 5 GCSE passes grade A-C (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics
Use of ICT for administration purposes: current Windows based packages including Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Experience of Management Information Systems
Experience of running effective administrative and clerical systems in a busy office
Experience of organising and co-ordinating events
Experience Of Supervising Other Staff And Delegating Work
Proven ability to manage your own time effectively, to prioritise and work to tight deadlines whilst retaining a professional composure
Ability to plan, organise and support the work of the admin team
Excellent attention to detail and understanding of the importance of accuracy and high standards in all areas
Ability to work in new and challenging situations
