Arms Wide Open is a small home with a big heart where every young person can feel seen, heard and safe. We are a nurturing childrens residential home, centrally located in Hamilton, providing high-quality, relationship-based care for up to four young people. Our approach is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming and child-centred, supporting young people with complex needs, including ASN, ASD, ADHD, trauma and attachment-related presentations. Our practice is aligned with GIRFEC, SHANARRI, The Promise and the Health and Social Care Standards, and we are deeply committed to doing things right - with warmth, integrity and consistency We are looking for experienced Residential or ASN Support Workers who bring calm, compassion and confidence to their practice. This is a hands-on role within a small, family-style home, where relationships matter and where staff truly get to know the children and young people they support. You will: Provide consistent, nurturing care within a safe and homely environment Support children and young people with complex and neuro divergent needs Build trusting relationships using trauma-informed and attachment-based approaches Work collaboratively as part of a reflective, supportive team Contribute to care planning, daily recording and multi-agency working Promote wellbeing, stability, routines and positive outcomes Work a rota including evenings, weekends and nightshifts (if required) Requirements You must have: Previous experience working with children or young people with complex needs Experience in childrens residential care or an ASN setting A calm, resilient and reflective approach to challenging situations Confidence working with trauma, emotional regulation and behaviour support Commitment to child-centred, values-led practice SSSC registration or willing to register Right to work in the UK All applicants must hold a full manual UK Drivers Licence as driving is part of this role If you are an experienced support worker who believes that relationships come first, and who wants to work in a home where care is thoughtful, nurturing and intentional - we would love to hear from you.
