Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations in Medical Plastic Injection Moulding. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Production management Minimum of 5 years experience in production management (experience does not have to be in plastic injection moulding, although desirable) and a passion for continuous improvement. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing production processes, ensuring quality control, and optimising assembly operations. The Production Manager will play a crucial role in driving efficiency and maintaining high standards across all production activities.
Working Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the production team to ensure efficient operations and adherence to production schedules.
* Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain product standards and minimise defects.
* Utilise ERP systems, including SAP, to manage inventory levels, track production metrics, and streamline supply chain processes.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process enhancement and implementing best practices.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to apply mechanical knowledge in troubleshooting equipment issues and optimising assembly lines.
* Conduct regular training sessions for staff on safety protocols, quality standards, and operational procedures.
* Prepare reports on production performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
* Ensure KPI targets are met or exceeded.
* Strong understanding of supply chain principles and experience with ERP systems.
* Demonstrated ability in process improvement methodologies and quality control practices.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
