Main duties of the job:
• Participate in patient assessment and care utilising care plans, providing high quality holistic patient care and escalating concerns about
patients to other clinical staff.
• Carry out daily checks on emergency equipment, trolleys and empty bed spaces ensuring they are clean, stocked and ready for use.
• Ensuring equipment and stores are well maintained, taking appropriate action if the equipment is faulty - Report to and deliver
equipment to MEMO as required.
• Take responsibility for stock control at unit level through requisition and receipting of stores.
• Take responsibility in identifying areas of risk to nurse in charge.
• Report all complaints, incidents or accidents to the nurse in charge of the unit and will complete the appropriate documentation.
• To maintain a close working relationship with the Team leaders, Sisters, Matron, performing any duties delegated, prioritising own
workload accordingly.
