This is your world and your opportunity to shape it for the better.Shape your worldWe are looking for a Network Operator and your role is responsible for monitoring the network and Global Connectivity infrastructure, the investigation and subsequent reporting and escalation of service outages, and out-of-hours service incident management on a shift pattern.Providing 24 hour cover the Network Analyst will be the first point of triage and investigation for network and GC infrastructure major incidents, utilising system monitoring and network configuration tools. Outside of Core working hours the Analyst will be responsible for triage of new incidents assigned to Global Connectivity from the service desk, and will provide network support for 24x7 users and out-of-hours engineering work. The Network Analyst will have the opportunity to cross train on different network and security technologies in order to support the Boundary Protection Service as required.Your experienceSignificant experience of service operations. Understanding of network technologies such as switches and routers. Good communication skills. Ability to develop positive working relationships with people and teams across the organisation to achieve business objectives. Has achieved or has the ability to gain Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. Qualifications such as Network+, CCENT. Experience of event or infrastructure monitoring.Experience of working in a MoD environment. Knowledge of Juniper or Cisco technologies.
