Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to support both the finance and administrative functions of our business. This is a varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, managing day-to-day office operations, and ensuring smooth business processes.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Support

Assist with Purchase and Sales Ledger entries
*
Filing and archiving financial records
*
Reconcile credit card statements and supplier accounts
*
Maintain spreadsheets and financial data
*
Process invoices and credit notes
*
Perform bank reconciliations
*
Assist with credit control
*
Manage and organise emails
*
Complete supplier forms
*
Support the Accounts Department with ad hoc administrative tasks
Office Administration
*
Assist with Health & Safety administrative tasks
*
Help maintain company certifications
*
Update supplier and customer portals
*
Manage incoming calls and emails
*
Maintain and monitor stock levels
*
Provide general admin support (e.g. booking stock, raising sales invoices, purchasing, booking transport) in the absence of the Office Administrator
*
Support the General Manager with ad hoc administrative tasks
Key Requirements
*
Previous experience in an accounts/admin role
*
Good knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Sage)
*
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
*
Strong communication and organisational skills
*
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
*
Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
Desirable
*
AAT qualification (or working towards it) – preferred but not essential
