The Role: Pipe Fitter / Welder
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Pipe Fitter / Welder who enjoys working in a varied, hands on environment and wants to be part of a growing specialist engineering business.
Our Pipe Fitters / Welders play a key role in the installation, modification, repair and maintenance of fuel storage and associated pipework systems across commercial and industrial sites throughout the UK.
It is important to note that our field based team regularly work away from home during the week. The successful applicant will be comfortable travelling, staying away when required and working across a range of customer sites nationwide.

The Specifics
An FSS Pipe Fitter / Welder will help deliver a high quality, safe and compliant service to our client base across commercial and industrial sectors.
You will carry out installation, modification, repair and maintenance of fuel pipework systems and associated mechanical equipment across a variety of customer sites. Full industry specific training will be provided, however you must have solid pipe fitting and welding experience.
Key duties include:
* Install, assemble and maintain fuel pipework systems in line with project specifications
* Carry out coded welding to a high standard in accordance with relevant procedures
* Modify and repair existing pipework systems safely and efficiently
* Interpret engineering drawings, isometrics and technical specifications
* Support tank installations and associated mechanical works
* Ensure all works are completed in line with organisational and regulatory standards
* Maintain high standards of health and safety compliance and adhere to RAMS
* Work collaboratively with electrical engineers, service engineers and project teams
* Complete job documentation accurately and on time
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers
* Contribute to continuous improvement and safe systems of work
Skills and Experience
To be successful in your application, you will have:
* Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter and Welder
* Experience working with carbon steel and associated pipe systems
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and isometric diagrams
* Strong fabrication and installation skills
* Experience working independently on site
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Good communication skills
* Ability to manage workload and work to deadlines
* Experience working in industrial or regulated environments
* Capability of obtaining high level security clearance where required
Desirable but not essential:
* Coded welding qualifications
* Experience working with fuel systems
* Experience in hazardous or industrial environments
* CSCS card
* Confined Space training
