Role Title : Bioprocess Engineer
Salary: £28,000-£32,000 DOE

What this role entails
Working as part of a team to design and implement the separation unit operations for our proprietary bioreactor and bioprocess.
Designing and conducting scale down testing of separations processes
Utilise your separation processes expertise to creatively inform bioprocess design and operation.
Supporting the translation form R&D to Engineering by working with colleagues to revise designs to take them into pre-polit and pilot scale.
Objectives
Development of robust separation processes for muscle cell tissue engineering
Development of hardware and protocols for downstream bioprocessing
Selection Criteria
1.Experience
Masters-level qualification or equivalent experience in biochemical/ chemical /process engineering
Proven experience of practical or industrial downstream processing experience though new graduates will be considered.
2.Delivering for an organisation
Has delivered key design elements as part of a team, to deliver separation units for pilot/process commissioning or retrofitting or continuous improvement.
3.Team working
Demonstrable ability to work with a diverse range of people, working towards a common goal in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Expertise
Essential: Masters level or equivalent in the fundamentals of separation processes; hands-on design, build and test of separation units
Preferable: Computational fluid dynamics to complement and inform unit design; whole-process modelling
