GET BAKED is expanding, and we’re on the hunt for an experienced NPD Technologist to own the journey from concept sign-off to production launch for bakery products, ensuring smooth scaling, specifications, and quality alignment.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Head Baker to develop and refine samples to meet approved briefs.
* Plan and oversee the scale up of recipes for factory production.
* Lead and oversee factory trials to ensure successful implementation.
* Develop and maintain product specifications, including nutritional and allergen data.
* Create and update quality attribute sheets, ensuring ongoing production meets specifications.
* Liaise with procurement to gather necessary ingredient and supplier data for specifications.
* Coordinate with designers and packaging suppliers to finalise packaging and labels.
* Ensure accurate ingredient declarations and on-pack/website information.
* Identify training needs for production teams and ensure appropriate training is arranged.
* Support production staff in mastering new processes for consistent quality.
* Manage the Head Baker’s work during development to align with production feasibility.
* Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, quality, and packaging teams to ensure smooth product launches.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree or HND-level qualification in Food Science or Technology with a minimum of 2 years experience in NPD/Process Development role.
Bakery experience is preferred but not essential.
