About the Role
Stanton Surgery, located in Bury St Edmunds, are currently recruiting a reception manager/team lead to join their busy team. Our core opening hours are Monday to Friday 08:00-18:30, with 19:00 on a Monday.
We are looking for someone to lead our busy reception team and who will strive to ensure our patients receive the best possible service from the practice. You will deal with patients both face to face, over the telephone and via email.
Duties will include;
* Lead our large reception team to ensure an efficient working environment.
* Coordinate between the reception team, patients, the management team and partners.
* Carry out reception team appraisals.
* Assist with the arranging of flu/covid clinics.
* Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required.
* Create and maintain clinical and reception rotas and ensure management are aware of any issues.
* Manage reception sickness.
* Input data into the patients\' healthcare records as necessary.
* Initiate contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies.
* Signpost patients to the correct service.
* Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the caller\'s request appropriately.
This is not an exhaustive list and you may be required to complete other tasks as required by the practice.
About the Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will have the following;
Essential
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
* Experience of working with the general public.
* Excellent communication skills with a clear and polite telephone manner.
* Strong IT skills; competent in the use of office and outlook.
* Effective time management.
* Ability to work as a team member and alone.
* Good interpersonal skills, polite and confident.
* Ability to follow policy and procedure.
* High levels of integrity and loyalty.
* Sensitive and empathetic.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Flexibility outside of core working hours.
Desirable
* Previous reception and/or administrative experience.
* Previously worked in a healthcare setting.
* Responsible for leading a team.
* Previous experience with SystmOne.
* GCSE Maths and English.
* NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
* EMIS user skills.
