An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and growing residential developer delivering high-quality housing projects across the South Coast.
This is a senior leadership role offering the chance to play a pivotal part in driving commercial performance, mentoring a team, and contributing strategically to the continued growth of the business.
The Role
As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will:
* Lead and manage the commercial function across multiple residential developments
* Oversee cost planning, procurement strategy, and subcontractor management
* Ensure robust cost control, valuations, and financial reporting
* Manage budgets from pre-construction through to final account
* Provide accurate forecasting and risk management
* Mentor and support Quantity Surveyors and Assistant QS staff
* Work closely with Construction, Technical, and Land teams to maximise profitability
About You
* Proven experience as a Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor within residential housebuilding
* Strong commercial acumen and leadership capability
* Excellent knowledge of JCT contracts
* Experience managing multiple sites/projects simultaneously
* A proactive, strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills
* Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
