Department: Business Operations Location: Portugal Description Delivery Manager/Senior SME OVERVIEW The Delivery Manager (Senior Marketing SME) plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth transition and ongoing excellence of marketing operations into the Centre of Excellence. Acting as a subject matter expert across business operations, creative, analytics, and event delivery, this role provides both strategic oversight and operational leadership. During the transition phase, the Delivery Manager ensures knowledge capture, process documentation, readiness validation, and successful ramp-up of the teams. In steady state (BAU), the role shifts focus to execution oversight, continuous improvement, and aligning delivery with business objectives and KPIs KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Transition & Knowledge Transfer Ensure processes and knowledge are captured, documented (SOPs, playbooks, best practices), and validated before embedding into Algomarketing’s operating model. Lead execution of knowledge transfer activities (role shadowing, content handovers, documentation capture). Oversee handover of responsibilities from incumbent agencies, ensuring no disruption to service delivery. Monitor and validate readiness checkpoints before each wave of go-live, escalating risks where needed. Support the ramp-up plan, ensuring new hires or rebadged staff achieve expected productivity. Establish baseline KPIs, performance metrics, and early-warning controls to monitor migrated services. Drive standardization of processes, tools, and workflows across markets while accommodating local/regional nuances. Ensure stable operations during migration, mitigating risks of service disruption. Provide input into transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment between transition outcomes and long-term digital roadmaps. Operational & Service Delivery Excellence Oversee the execution of marketing delivery across service areas. Ensure campaigns and programs are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with KPIs. Lead continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and scalability across markets, refining SOPs, playbooks, and best practices after stabilization. Develop and implement capacity-building and training plans to upskill marketing staff and scale capabilities. Partner with stakeholders to align long-term delivery excellence with strategic business objectives. Maintain a robust measurement and early-warning system to ensure ongoing service stability and quality. Marketing Subject Matter Expertise Act as the senior SME for marketing operations, providing guidance on SEO/SEM strategies, automation, and reporting. Ensure best practices are consistently applied across marketing platforms and channels. Define and track KPIs, analyze performance and provide recommendations for optimization. Support the integration and effective use of marketing technologies (e.g., CRM, automation tools, analytics platforms). Lead process mapping, knowledge transfer execution, content handovers and playbook creation. Establish performance metrics, monitoring mechanisms, and risk controls for migrated activities. Stakeholder Management & Internal Collaboration Serve as a senior point of contact for internal/external stakeholders on marketing delivery matters. Facilitate workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and training initiatives. Collaborate closely with project managers, operations managers, and technical teams. Mentor and coach junior team members to build organizational capability. Compliance, Risk & Quality Control Ensure compliance with client-specific requirements, internal policies, and legal/regulatory obligations. Monitor and mitigate delivery risks across contracts and service scopes. Escalate any operational, legal, or reputational risks proactively. REQUIREMENTS 7–10 years’ experience in digital marketing, marketing operations, or commercial strategy roles. Proven expertise across SEO, SEM, analytics, automation, campaign execution, and/or event operations. Strong background in process design, SOP creation, and operational standardization. Experience in managing marketing delivery at scale, with accountability for KPIs and campaign outcomes. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect marketing operations to business objectives. Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills. Analytical thinker with proven ability to evaluate campaign performance and drive improvements. Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing complex, fast-paced environments. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Strong delivery and operations management capability. Expertise in marketing domains, including digital marketing operations, tools, and platforms. Ability to document processes and drive operational standardization. Competence in defining KPIs, measuring performance, and driving continuous optimization.
