If so, we have the role for you! We’re looking for an experienced practitioner to join us at our school based in Ramsbottom, as our Specialist Speech and Language Therapist.
Based at Rossendale School, the post holder will develop the SaLT-specific therapeutic services for our young people diagnosed with autism.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary well-being and therapeutic services team, which includes Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapists, CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Worker, Creative Therapists, and School Counsellor.
An holistic and integrated approach to education and clinical services would be ideal for this role. You will also contribute to staff training, consultation, and reflective practice.

Rossendale School provides a comprehensive education for young people aged 7 to 18 years with autism and related social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, who can access an academic curriculum.
Our established multi-disciplinary team maintains a nurturing and supportive environment where our young people can thrive.
The Post Holder will collaborate to deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our students. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team making a real difference through a holistic therapeutic approach.
Who are we looking for?
We seek a practitioner with a clear vision of outstanding therapeutic services. You should demonstrate drive, motivation, resilience, and the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams and build consensus.
* Recognised and relevant Speech and Language qualification.
* Registered with HCPC.
* Relevant SaLT experience, including working with the specific client group or related field.
* Experience representing speech and language therapy in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency contexts.
* Experience reviewing and developing therapy standards, policies, and procedures.
* Clear and concise report writing skills.
