Job Title: SHEQ Manager – Demolition / Structural / Building Location: Mitcham, London Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience) About Us We are a specialist contractor based in Mitcham, delivering demolition, structural, and building projects across London and the South East. With safety, quality, and sustainability at the heart of everything we do, we are seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to strengthen our team and drive best practice across all projects. The Role As SHEQ Manager, you will take responsibility for managing our Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality systems, ensuring compliance with legislation, industry standards, and client requirements. You will work closely with site and project teams to promote a positive safety culture and ensure projects are delivered safely, sustainably, and to the highest quality. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ policies, procedures, and management systems. Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with statutory and company requirements. Provide training, guidance, and support to site and project teams. Lead accident/incident investigations and implement corrective actions. Monitor and report SHEQ performance, driving continual improvement. Maintain ISO accreditations and support external audits. Promote a proactive safety-first culture across the business. Requirements Proven experience as a SHEQ Manager (or similar role) within demolition, structural, or construction sectors. Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, CDM regulations, and environmental compliance. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification (essential). Experience with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) highly desirable. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to influence, engage, and support teams at all levels.
