Apogee Corporation is recruiting for a Sales Account Manager to grow and develop the existing client base around the central region of the UK. The role is based near our Bristol or Bromsgrove offices and is an individual contributor position with hybrid working options.

Job Details

The role of Account Manager is to grow and develop the existing client base around the central region of the UK. You will be delivering on client requirements with strong value propositions, prospecting for new business following our business development methodology, and using expert questioning techniques to open new opportunities across our solutions portfolio.

This is an individual contributor role. For roles with office-based hybrid working: typical pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:30, with a one-hour lunch break. There is flexibility to work from home, typically two days per week for a five-day week.

Account managers are expected to attend daily meetings with their client base, develop new opportunities, source prospective clients, and build a long-term sustainable pipeline. You will participate in a weekly team meeting, regular telephone sessions with our new and prospective client base, and undertake regular coaching sessions to maximise your potential. Regular training and development will ensure you meet customer and company expectations.

The successful candidate will have a strong and coherent plan for finding and winning new business and a track record of doing so.


Skills and Experience Expected

Ideally you will come from a managed print background, IT, or Telecoms and be familiar with contract-based selling. You should be highly active in the field, client-oriented, an excellent communicator, an experienced negotiator, and able to put the client first. You will be strong on the telephone, have first-class presentation skills, be comfortable with numbers, and have experience using a CRM system to report on sales activity. Collaboration with colleagues in other departments to meet client needs is important. A can-do attitude and ability to work within a team are highly desirable.
