Our values are: Entrepreneurship Courage Respect Friendliness Job Description Summary Part of the executive team of Aprolis UK, responsible for the people functions of the business. A highly autonomous role, vital to the ongoing development of the group, reporting directly to the CEO. This role has functional responsibility for the Human Resources and Payroll team and leads the people aspects of our business. This role will work alongside the CEO and other Directors in the creation and delivery of the long-term business strategy. Job Description Areas of the business included within this role; Human Resources Direct management of the team, including HR, recruitment and admin support Payroll Direct management of the payroll function People Plan Specific responsibility for the creation of our people plan, creation will be in conjunction with other members of the executive team, whilst collectively all will deliver this plan this role will hold responsibility for its creation and effective adoption throughout our business. Recruitment and retention As part of our people plan, establish a class leading approach to both recruitment and retention, ensuring we are considered to be a business people wish to work for and want to remain with through their career Group interaction and involvement The key point of contact for group (Aprolis and Monnoyeur) HR matters, including but not limited to required reporting and involved in key projects Employee engagement As part of our people plan establish a robust method of responding to our regular employee survey, ensuring we listen, learn, act and adapt in our business Development - HR Lead the implementation of key HR related projects, these includes but are not limited to; Workday transition from project to effective use, Workday development and roll out of new functionality new payroll system, ATS system, L&D platforms Development – Company Be an integral part of the wider Aprolis UK digitalisation drive, including but not limited to AI adoption and effective use, process creation, review and simplification. Acquisitions Lead the people process regarding businesses that we acquire and how we integrate them, this will include harmonisation of T&C’s Employee Benefits (Compensation and Benefits) In conjunction with group resources lead the regular review of our C&B to ensure we are able to recruit and retain the right calibre of people Leadership & Management development programme As part of our people plan, lead the ongoing process of Leadership & Management development programmes, this in conjunction with the wider group leadership framework Process Create a continuous improvement approach to people related processes, working with the wider business on our digitalisation journey Structure and resource Working with the wider business lead the creation of structure and resource reviews, ensuring we maintain the right levels of resource, in conjunction with our budget process Budget Working with the wider team to help the creation and delivery of our financial budgets Person Specification: A qualified and experienced HR leader who is highly involved and visible at all levels An organised and structured leader who has the ability to develop those around them An abundance of drive & gravitas, with an inclusive yet strong management style. Ability to have a meaningful input to company strategy and direction Ability to understand different company (within the group) strategies and areas of focus. Ability to meet challenging deadlines, across multiple projects. Ability to manage competing demands. Excellent Interpersonal skills Good communication skills both written and verbal. Dynamic, enthusiastic and flexible approach High Level of confidentiality and accuracy Ability to communicate in France would be advantageous, but not essential Knowledge of workday would be advantageous, but not essential Qualifications: Suitable HR qualifications Qualified by extensive experience in leading teams of people Suitable education background Core Competencies Effective Communication skills HR management and leadership experience People management skills Numeric/commercial attributes Experience: Management experience in a sales and operations business Understanding of a rental business Management of multi-tasked teams Use of business systems Colleague leadership and development Influencing experience at all levels Management of Budget/Targets - profit orientated. Tests out own assumptions The role, duty & headline responsibilities: Commercial: Monitor all Departments/functions within your remit to ensure they meet the requirements of the business strategy. People & Communication Authorise all selection, recruitment, hiring and training of people within your area of responsibility. Ensure that regular two-way communication takes place between the Company and all Department/function Employees within your remit. Using regular and effective meetings, ensure that all personnel under your control are aware of the Group’s main objectives. Using regular and effective meetings, ensure that all personnel under your control are aware of our expectations with regard to their own performance and achievement against their objectives. Handle all employee disciplinary and industrial relations matters as appropriate involving the HR Department at all times. Responsible for the training and development of direct reports & their teams Ensure Company Absence/Sickness procedures are followed, and all necessary paperwork is completed including Return to Work Interviews. Sickness levels are monitored. To identify people problems or opportunities and to take appropriate action with regard to these. To perform any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time within the scope of your knowledge, skills and ability.
