Unqualified Teacher – Basingstoke
Prospero Teaching is recruiting confident and proactive Unqualified Teachers to support secondary schools in the Basingstoke area. This role offers the opportunity to lead classes, deliver pre‑planned lesson content, and gain valuable paid classroom experience without needing QTS.
You’ll take responsibility for lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring pupils remain engaged, focused, and working productively. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, teaching assistants, tutors, youth workers, sports coaches, or anyone with experience working with young people who wants hands‑on experience in schools.
Work is available on a full‑time, long‑term, or flexible day‑to‑day basis depending on your availability.
The Role:
Lead classes using pre‑prepared lesson materialsSupervise pupils and maintain classroom routinesManage behaviour in line with school expectationsSupport students with learning tasks and questionsCover a range of subjects across the timetableWork with pupils across KS3 and KS4Follow safeguarding and school policies consistentlyIdeal Candidate:
Experience working with children or young people (schools, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, coaching, etc.)Confident leading a classroom and managing behaviourStrong communication and organisation skillsAdaptable, calm, and reliableComfortable delivering a variety of subjectsGraduates or aspiring teachers strongly encouraged to applyContract Details:
