The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Plymouth area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers (CAT C or CE) to join the team. Shifts: Shifts run across Monday to Sunday (weekends required) Hours: 15:30pm start (shifts are 8-10 hours long) Pay Rate: Class 1 - £14.10, rising to £14.80 per hour after 12 weeks. Location: Plymouth, PL6 Job Type: Full time, ongoing work with potential for permanent for the right candidate. The role: · Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to and from sub depots and delivery units. · Handling runs with 1-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork. · Utilise tail lift and pump truck equipment for loading and unloading. · Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner. · Empty the vehicle and refuel at the end of each shift. · Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful. Requirements: · Full UK driving licence with Class 1 (C&E) entitlement. · Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. · No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only). · Full understanding of WTD legislation. · Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment. · Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position. · Excellent communication skills. · A safety-first mindset Job Type: Full-time
