Your new role
As a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will support the mechanical design function across a variety of projects. This role provides hands‑on technical development, direct mentorship, and exposure to all stages of the design lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with mechanical calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
Supporting the use of Revit and IES (training will be provided)
Helping prepare design schedules, specifications, and reports
Working alongside senior engineers to understand design standards andpliance
Gaining exposure to client meetings, coordination, and project delivery
Supporting project teams across multiple sectors
This is an office‑based position with structured progression pathways.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need a genuine interest in building services engineering and the potential to develop quickly. Suitable backgrounds include:

A mechanical site‑based background (, HVAC installation, mechanical contracting,missioning)
A graduate background, provided your degree includes mechanical engineering modules relevant to building services
Early‑career mechanical engineers with transferable technical skills
You will need:
An understanding of building services principles, even if you haven't worked in the sector before
A qualification such as a Degree/HNC/HND in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
Strongmunication skills and willingness to learn
A proactive, detail‑focused approach
Enthusiasm to develop software skills including Revit and IES
