The Role
We’re seeking a proactive and well-organised individual to join our professional office team in Stowmarket as a Recruitment & Compliance Coordinator.
Your key responsibility is to manage both the recruitment and compliance functions of the business, ensuring that all operatives are correctly coordinated, fully compliant, and prepared for site work. You’ll act as a vital point of contact between clients, operatives, and internal departments, helping to maintain smooth communication and efficient coordination across the business.
The ideal candidate will have a good eye for detail, quick thinking, confident in handling multiple tasks, and able to build positive working relationships with both clients and team members. You will be fully supported by a great team and a growing company that values; teamwork, development, and high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities – Day to Day
Recruitment
Day to day, you’ll allocate operatives to live jobs across the UK, ensuring the right people are placed on the right sites. Communication is key, you’ll speak regularly with operatives and clients by phone, email, and WhatsApp to confirm job details, start times, and timesheets. You’ll also check that workers are onsite as planned and help coordinate future placements. Building strong relationships with both operatives and clients is essential, while keeping internal systems updated accurately at all times.
Administration
You’ll assist with onboarding operatives, making sure all paperwork and details are correctly processed. The role also involves producing reports on compliance status and workforce availability, maintaining accurate administrative records, and supporting payroll and invoicing tasks. Accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail are vital to ensure everything runs smoothly across the business.
Compliance
You’ll be responsible for keeping all training records and certificates up to date, tracking expiry dates, and following up with operatives to renew their documentation. The role includes checking right-to-work documents, ensuring GDPR compliance, and liaising with clients about their specific compliance requirements. You’ll also support internal and external audits, including those with ARCA, ALFA, and the REC, helping to maintain our strong reputation for safety and reliability.
Skills & Experience Required
* Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills.
* Confident working under pressure.
* Good IT skills (Microsoft Office, CRM systems).
* Previous experience in compliance, recruitment, or coordination.
* Flexible to occasionally assist outside of standard hours.
