Job Details: Placement Duration: September 2024 - August 2025 Job Summary To carry out repairs, servicing and testing on a wide variety of electronic, PC based and electro-mechanical equipment, and while developing skills and experience in a Repair Centre environment, you will be involved in supporting other areas of the business during upgrades to existing equipment and development and rollout of new equipment. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Learn and perform "business as usual" Repair Centre engineer duties and tasks including data entry on various IT systems and using standard IT packages as part of daily work. Carry out repairs, servicing and testing on of a wide range of electronic, electro-mechanical and PC based equipment returned to the Repair Centre with guidance from Repair Centre staff. To fault find, solder and use hand tool skills on a wide range of products. Liaising with Repair Centre management and other departments to deal with problems and inquiries Comply with Cubic's values and adherence to all company policy and procedures, including but not limited to Cubic's Quality Management System, Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures and Security standards. Maintain the quality standard required by ISO 9000 In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by their manager from time-to-time, as may be reasonably required of them. Minimum Job Requirements Education and qualifications Essential Being enrolled in a degree in Engineering or a related discipline that allows the opportunity for a placement year 5 GCSE's or equivalent, and must have Maths and English Have achieved or working towards an electronics or electro-mechanical engineering qualification.
