Overview
Pensions Implementation Consultant – Scheme Benefits. Location: Homebased. Duration: Permanent. Hours/Days: Monday to Friday 9.00 – 5.30. The Scheme Benefits team, within our Implementation Department, is responsible for delivering first-class pension administration solutions for new and existing clients. Our projects range from large blue-chip strategic transformations to small bespoke client solutions. You will join a home-based team to ensure all aspects of a transition project are delivered on time and to a high standard within a controlled project environment.
You will play a pivotal role in implementation projects, working with the Data Team to onboard data and the Configuration Team to automate calculations.
Responsibilities
* Lead client implementation projects for workstreams
* Drive the gathering and interpretation of client requirements
* Produce and drive the production of requirements documentation
* Translate requirements into system solutions
* Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve queries and issues
* Ensure efficient delivery of all project tasks to cost and on time
* Lead in client meetings and project status calls
* Mentor, develop and coach Implementation Analysts
* Contribute to continuous improvement across the team and wider department
* Assist in project management activities including identification and mitigation of risks and issues
* Facilitate internal and external system training and provide appropriate documentation
* Support the line manager in the effective management of staff
* Support the technical development of technology platforms through analysis, design and specification production for new or enhanced developments
What we're looking for / Qualifications
* Excellent technical pensions knowledge in Defined Benefit schemes and legislation
* Ability to explain pension member records and their setup
* Understanding of relationships between members, policy holders, insurers, Trustees, schemes, actuaries, funds and investments
* Knowledge of different types of Pension Schemes
* Knowledge of different types of member statuses and applicable calculations for each
* End-to-end experience of the project lifecycle with participation across initiation, governance, control and closure
* Strong client relationship skills and effective communication with stakeholders
* Experience of owning and driving projects
* Strong leadership and analytical problem-solving skills
