Job Overview: As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children aged 0-5 years through their early learning journey. Working closely with the nursery team, you'll help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive space where children can explore, learn, and grow. Key Responsibilities: Support the daily routines of the nursery, including play, meals, and rest times Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities aligned with the EYFS framework Observe and record children's progress to support individual learning plans Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through gentle guidance and support Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues Ensure a safe and hygienic environment in line with safeguarding and health & safety policies Person Specification: Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent) Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting is desirable Warm, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children Strong understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to adapt to the needs of individual children and respond with care and creativity Requirements: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Right to work in the UK Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow professionally If you're passionate about early years education and ready to make a meaningful impact, we'd love to hear from you.
