What youll be doing as Instrumentation, Control & Automation Technician: Fault finding, calibration, testing, investigation and programming in technical aspects such as telemetry, various flow meters, detectors, control systems, turbidity and other measurement meters. Implementing process improvements via control system modifications, diagnosing and fixing complex process and system faults. Conducting planned maintenance and/or calibrating instrumentation to OFWAT standards to ensure reliability and accuracy. Responding to instrumentation faults within companies parameters, as guided by the Regional Control Centre. Undertaking investigative work on instruments and processing problems at fresh water plants, identifying any faults and implementing remedial action. Completing documentation accurately and in a timely manner to maintain internal change standards, ISO9001 accreditation and other systems. Implementing system modifications from operational requests to improve process control or compliance. Coaching and training team members to develop their skills. Were looking for an Instrumentation, Control & Automation Technician with: NVQ3 in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or time-served apprenticeship. Experience within a process orientated industry such as water utility, petrochemical, electricity, manufacturing or similar. Excellent problem solving and fault-finding skills. Experience with instrumentation or control or automation. Strong documentation and regulatory compliance. Collaborative with good communication skills. Enthusiasm for learning and growth.
