You’ll be joining a respected social housing contractor delivering essential maintenance and refurbishment works across Worcestershire. The organisation ismitted to improving living standards for residents and maintaining high‑quality homes through reliable, skilled trade professionals.
Your new role
As a Kitchen Fitter, you will be responsible for the full installation, refurbishment, and maintenance of kitchens within occupied and void social housing properties. This is a temporary contract paying up to £ per hour, working independently across the Worcestershire area. You will be expected toplete full kitchen rip‑outs and refits, ensuring all work meets safety,pliance, and customer service standards.
Typical tasks include:
1. Full kitchen strip‑out and preparation
2. Installation of kitchen units, worktops, sinks, taps, and appliances
3. Plumbing works including pipework alterations, waste connections, and leak repairs
4. Worktop cutting, jointing, and finishing
5. Basic carpentry such as boxing‑in, studwork, and fitting end panels
6. Wall tiling, splashbacks, and grouting
7. Plastering and patch repairs
8. Minor electrical tasks such as fitting isolators or appliance connections (if suitably qualified)
9. Ensuring all work areas are left clean, safe, and tidy
What you'll need to succeed
10. Proven experience as a Kitchen Fitter, ideally within social housing or domestic refurbishment
11. Ability toplete all associated tasks to a high standard, from carpentry to plumbing and finishing
12. Own van and tools
13. NVQs or City & Guilds in carpentry, plumbing, or a related trade (beneficial but not essential)
14. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently
15. Excellent customer service andmunication skills
16. Full UK driving licence
