You will be working for the Rolls-Royce Technical Authority for Aerospace Engine Test Facilities. In this role you will be working with colleagues locally in Derby, opportunities also exist to work more widely within the UK as well as Internationally. What you will be doing You will be responsible for defining and delivering IT & OT systems architecture for Rolls-Royce test facilities, working with the Measurement & Test Organisation and Group IT to support next-generation Civil and Defence gas turbine engines. You will be responsible for designing and implementing both the short- and long-term strategic solutions for managing and maintaining the systems and software used in Rolls-Royce test facilities. Work closely with our key suppliers to ensure that the IT & OT systems installed and used on our test facilities are fit for purpose and align with RR Group IT policies. Ensure Rolls-Royce test networks are resilient to cyber security risks and adhere to the latest national and international standards. Interface with Rolls-Royce group IT to ensure alignment on policies and toolsets where possible. Position qualifications: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or HND industrial experience Project environment experience Skilled in writing technical reports/documents Able to define test requirements & perform acceptance testing Experience with cost-benefit analysis & business case development Preferred qualifications: Knowledge of cyber security tools & standards Familiarity with programming (Java, C++, Python, SQL) Awareness of modern systems tools & processes Experience with DevOps & Agile practices Understanding of Systems Engineering approaches We are an equal opportunities employer.
