Responsibilities
This is a hybrid role at our Longtown Branch combining driving duties and branch support. Your time will be divided between:
* Delivering a wide range of high-quality Civils and Drainage products to customers in Longtown and the surrounding area.
* Ensuring efficient and safe operation of the vehicle.
* Striving to complete on-time delivery of orders to JDP customers, sometimes at short notice.
* Providing customers with product and service information.
* Picking customer orders accurately.
* Assisting with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck.
* Processing orders accurately within time dictated by customer deadlines.
* Serving customers on the trade counter when required.
* Supporting yard operations and day-to-day branch activities.
* Customer interaction.
Qualifications
Essential:
* Full UK driving license.
* An understanding of Health & Safety in a work environment.
* Experience in efficient route planning.
* Excellent communication and customer service.
Required:
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Literacy and Numeracy.
Desirable:
* Warehouse/yard experience.
* A good knowledge of computers.
* Forklift truck licence.
