Class1 Personnel are looking to recruit on a permanent basis an individual with Ocean Freight experience who are looking for the next step up Salary starting at 32,000K based on a 37.5 hour week Responsibilities: Keep up to date with all transport, shipping, VAT, import/export and HMRC regulations, changes and ensure compliance Coordinate and manage all customs matters related to international shipments Liaise with suppliers to ensure correct documentations are provided for all shipments Ensure accurate information is communicated to forwarders and clearing agents Prioritise work tasks and calls out to Lead SupervisorKey skills: High attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good IT skills, and intermediate level of Excel with experience of formulas Ability to work independently and as part of a team Problem solving and alternative solution thinking Ability to work under pressure in a time-sensitive environment, working to tight deadlines and being able to multitask across changing prioritiesEssential Experience: Minimum 2 years experience of freight forwarding within ocean, air and road freight Experience and understanding of shipping documentation e.g Bills of Lading Strong knowledge of customs regulations and proceduresIf you are interested in being considered for this Ocean Freight Operator position, then please apply for further details...
