I am looking for a Retrofit Surveyor to join an organisation in South Devon. The Retrofit Surveyor will be responsible for a portfolio of works, ensuring all information collected is up to date and to company standard.
I am also considering applications from people who have Property management, sales & refurbishment experience and are passionate about getting into the Retrofit industry.
Day to Day duties of the Retrofit Surveyor:
1. Ensuring projects are completed on budget and to schedule
2. Advising clients on schemes and projects and determine requirements
3. Preparing design and specification information for the measures proposed, including requirements for all materials, products, processes and standards in sufficient detail for the installer(s) to work from.
4. Determining the condition of existing buildings, identify and analyse defects, including proposals for repair
5. Carrying out your duties in the context of current building regulations
6. Plan the work, organise in-house operatives and oversee the buying of necessary materials and equipment.
7. Conduct sign off visits when required to ensure all work has been carried out satisfactorily
Requirements (Skills & Qualifications):
8. A degree in building surveying or equivalent (desirable)
9. Membership of a professional body such as RICS or CIOB (desirable)
10. Good technical knowledge of construction, building regulations, and energy performance
11. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
13. Keen attention to detail
14. Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines
15. Good understanding of health and safety regulations
16. UK driving license
