Job Description

Our client, a leading specialist provider in residential care, is looking for dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Workers to join their team in Chard, Somerset. Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations in a children's residential home, ensuring smooth shift transitions during early, late, long, and sleep-in shifts
* Provide direct support and mentorship to children and young people, fostering a positive and caring environment
* Lead and support staff teams to deliver high-quality care and intervention
* Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured environment promoting the emotional and physical wellbeing of children
* Work closely with management to implement care plans and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Ideal Candidate Requirements
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce, a degree in Health and Social Care, or currently working towards this
* Driving Licence: Full, clean driving licence is essential; unfortunately, candidates without it cannot be considered
* Experience: Previous experience in a residential childcare setting or similar role is required
* Skills: Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to support and supervise staff effectively
