A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Manager to join a UK and Global known manufacturer in the Birmingham Area
With no day ever being the same the Purchasing Manager role offers genuine long:term progression and career development within a first:class organisation.
Role And Responsibilities
* Day to day management of the purchasing team (Team of 3)
* Implementation of a category management approach
* Manage the creation of material master data in SAP for spare parts
* Source non:stock engineering parts
* Develop and maintain good working relationships with the key internal and external stakeholders
* Manage consignment stocks ensuring all settlements are carried out on a monthly cycle
* Ensure the SAP physical inventory checks are carried out daily
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
* MCIPS or working towards.
* Heavy manufacturing industry experience
* MRP knowledge an experience
* Strong purchasing experience : 3+ Years working in a Purchasing Management position
* Experience building relationships with stakeholders
* SAP knowledge / Qualification : desirable
* Experience managing teams / People Management experience
