Corporate Senior Associate or Legal Director
Remote Working (minimal office attendance will be required - 1 day a month)
Salary dependant on experience.
Douglas Scott is working with a leading firm that is growing its ambitious national corporate team and is seeking a talented Senior Associate or Legal Director to join them.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, commercially focused legal advice across a broad client base – particularly within the Housing, Energy, Government and Education sectors.
About the team
The firm’s corporate team brings extensive experience advising on:
- Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
- Management Buyouts (MBOs)
- Corporate reorganisations
- Joint ventures
- Private equity and venture capital
They provide both transactional and advisory services to a diverse range of clients including:
- Major corporates and national businesses
- Start-ups and growing companies
- Management teams, investors and lenders
- Central government bodies and local authorities
- Housing associations and regeneration vehicles
The Role:
As a senior member of the team, the successful candidate will:
- Work closely with partners to deliver innovative, client-focused advice
- Lead on complex corporate matters
- Supervise and develop junior lawyers
- Be actively involved in business development and client-facing activities
What the firm is looking for?
Candidates should have:
- 6+ years PQE in corporate law. Qualified in England and Wales and UK based.
- Strong experience in M&A, joint ventures, restructurings, and corporate governance.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to deliver practical, solution-driven advice.
- Experience supervising junior lawyers.
- A proactive approach to business development in the firms sector areas.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
