Key Responsibilities
* Develop project briefs into considered design solutions aligned with the RIBA Plan of Work, working with a high degree of autonomy
* Contribute to the coordination and delivery of pre-construction information across project stages
* Produce efficient, sustainable and buildable design solutions
* Ensure designs comply with UK regulations, British Standards and relevant Codes of Practice
* Advise on material selection, considering performance, cost, and environmental impact
* Prepare detailed technical specifications using NBS, supported by up-to-date manufacturer information
* Support design development in line with project budgets, including value engineering where required
* Participate in project reviews, coordination meetings and workshops
* Assist in preparing and submitting planning, building regulations and building safety documentation
* Liaise with statutory authorities and contribute to reports and submissions
* Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors and specialist teams
* Support the management of design risks and maintain accurate project documentation
* Assist during construction stages, including troubleshooting design-related issues
Skills & Experience
* Qualified Architect (RIBA Part III) with ARB registration
* Minimum 3+ years’ post-qualification experience within a UK architectural practice
* Strong technical knowledge, including construction detailing and UK regulatory requirements
* Experience in the education sector (desirable, not essential)
* Commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery within a consultancy environment
* Proficiency in design and visualisation tools such as SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
* Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit (BIM experience preferred)
