We're growing and looking for a Practice Accountant to join our friendly, ambitious, and values-driven team. This is an opportunity to work closely with the founder, manage your own client portfolio, and play a key role in our next stage of growth. The role is hybrid, with a mix of working from our South Oxfordshire office (OX10) and working from home.
What You'll Be Doing
* Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
* Preparing and filing Corporation Tax and self-assessment tax returns
* Reviewing and finalising VAT returns and management accounts
* Supporting or reviewing bookkeeping and reconciliations where needed
* Managing your own client portfolio and building strong, proactive relationships
* Helping clients understand their numbers and providing clear, practical advice
* Keeping up to date with accounting standards and tax changes
* Spotting ways to improve internal systems and client workflows
* Working with cloud accounting tools daily (Xero, Apron, etc) and helping clients use them confidently

What Makes You a Good Fit
* AAT Level 4 qualified (or equivalent) as a minimum; ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or QBE also welcome
* Minimum 2-3 years' experience in an accountancy practice, managing a range of clients
* Confident preparing year-end accounts and tax returns independently
* Strong knowledge of Xero and other cloud tools (certifications are a plus)
* Great communicator - able to explain accounts and tax clearly to clients
* Organised, reliable, and able to manage your own workload and deadlines
* Positive, proactive, and enjoy problem-solving

* Hours: Open to both Full-time or Part-Time - just want to find the right person
* Salary: £32,000–£40,000 depending on experience
* Location: Hybrid - South Oxfordshire (OX10) office with flexible working from home
