* Position: Locum Consultant in Haematology
* Rates: £100 - £125 Per Hour (PAYE)
* Shifts: Full time, Monday to Friday + 1:4 On Calls - 50% rate for non-resident on calls

Role Description
As a Haematology Consultant at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of care, providing clinical and educational support for junior haematologists. The trust offers access to advanced equipment and opportunities for research and academic development.
You will divide your time between ward, outpatient clinic, and laboratory, often attending high dependency and ICU units. Working with a team of specialists, you will provide advisory services to hospital staff and GPs.
Main Responsibilities
* Diagnose, treat, and manage patient care pre- and post-operation
* Support patients and families, communicate diagnoses and treatment options
* Coordinate and prescribe treatments
* Monitor patient progress and communicate with multidisciplinary teams
* Lead and participate in team activities
* Prioritize patient needs and delegate tasks
* Record test results, prescriptions, and treatment plans
* Conduct research to improve procedures
* Educate and train junior doctors and medical students
Qualifications
* GMC-registered doctor with license to practice
* Experience at Consultant level or relevant references
* NHS experience preferred
* Proof of right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship)
* Pass enhanced criminal background check (DBS)
