Role: Hot Tub Operative
Location: Seaham Hall, County Durham

Salary: £12.21 per hour plus share of service charge
Hours: up to 40+ hours a week, working hours from 8am including working alternative weekends & bank holidays.
Relationships: General Manager, Facilities Manager, Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Team
Responsibilities
* Provide quality maintenance services to guest accommodation and on-site facilities.
* Maintain pool plant and related equipment to ensure 5-star service standards.
* Operate various machinery and tools; perform hands-on maintenance tasks as required.
* Keep accurate records of water tests and chemical balancing; maintain safety and COSHH compliance.
* Backwash pools, manage water balance (chemical and physical factors), and monitor biological factors (disinfection, shock treatment, algae control).
* Report malfunctions of plant equipment to the Maintenance Manager; ensure tools and chemicals are stored securely.
* Work flexibly with the Maintenance Team and undertake additional duties as required; communicate effectively with management and guests.
Qualifications
* Minimum two years’ experience in pool plant or related maintenance role.
* Ability to work alone or as part of a team; strong customer service and communication skills; confidentiality.
* Attention to detail to maintain a 5-star standard of service.
* Maintain chemical factors: chlorine, pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, salt levels, total dissolved solids.
* Maintain physical factors: filtration, circulation, water temperature, vacuuming; ensure water quality within defined limits.
* Experience with water testing and record-keeping; familiarity with valves, strainers, injectors, and gauge lines.
* Ensure health and safety regulations are followed; report issues to the Maintenance Manager.
* Must have transport; impeccable timekeeping; well-presented with high professional standards.
* Experience of maintaining hot tubs desirable; PWTAG qualification desirable.
