Senior SOC Analyst - Cyber Security Specialist
This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for cybersecurity who wish to take on a leadership position in our Security Operations Centre. As a Senior SOC Analyst, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to junior team members, as well as contributing to the development of our SOC.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Provide mentorship to Security Analysts and support the wider Security Operations Centre.
* Act as a point of contact for senior management and external partners during security incidents.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular meetings and communications.
* Triage and analyze alerts from multiple SIEMs and platforms, prior to escalation to the Shift Leader according to Service Level Agreements.
* Investigate, mitigate, and remediate security incidents with the assistance of the SOC team.
* Conduct log analysis during event and incident investigations.
* Assist in the Incident Response process internally and in communication with clients.
* Produce high-quality alert, incident, and threat intelligence reports.
Requirements
* Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* SC Clearance or eligibility.
* Acquired Microsoft SC-200 certification.
* Experience in a similar role.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Sentinel, including hands-on experience in investigations, developing analytical rules, creating workbooks, and designing automation playbooks.
* Knowledge/experience with EPP Tools such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, SentinelOne.
* Experience mentoring and leading individuals or teams.
* Familiarity with MITRE Att&ck and D3fend Framework.
* Understanding of networking, including TCP/IP, with an interest in Information Security.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
* Keen attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality services to clients.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.
