Assistant SENDCo / Operations Manager
Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant SENDCo / Operations Manager. This role is perfect for someone who is committed to inclusion and early years excellence. You will support SEND across our nursery settings while also contributing to operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the SENDCo in identifying and meeting children's additional needs
* Act as deputy to the Operations Manager
* Maintain the SEN register and inclusion log
* Lead on reviewing and developing inclusive policies and practices
* Monitor and report on use of SEND funding and EHCP outcomes
* Support transitions between rooms and into school
* Provide internal training on SEND and inclusive practice
* Assist with referrals, assessments, and EHCP applications
* Ensure nurseries are SEND-ready for Ofsted and LA visits
* Work collaboratively with staff, families, and external agencies
Requirements:
* Working towards or holding a NASENCo qualification or similar
* Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EYFS
* Experience working with children with SEND in early years settings
* Ability to lead staff, monitor provision, and track funding use
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Willingness to travel between sites (Littleborough, Mytholmroyd, etc.)
* Deliver training at annual training days
* Driving License

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30,000.00-£32,240.00 per year
